Tim Hortons launched its 25th restaurant in the UK on Tuesday (10 December) in Cumbernauld, Scotland.

The opening is its fourth this year, following a 150-seat flagship restaurant in Leicester city centre, the operators largest UK site.

The Canadian coffee brand now has 8 sites in England, 2 in Wales, 3 in Northern Ireland, and 12 in Scotland, with drive-thru restaurants making up over a fifth of its locations.

Speaking to MCA last month, CCO Kevin Hydes said the pipeline for growth was “quite significant.”

“Because we are a new brand there is therefore an opportunity to steal market share – that’s what we are here for,” he said. “We are here to be a leader. We are not here to offer a few restaurants to a few customers, we are here to build restaurants for the many across the UK and Ireland.”
