Tim Clarke, the former chief executive of Mitchells & Butlers, has been appointed as a non-executive director at Hall & Woodhouse. The Dorset-based brewer and pub operator has also appointed former British Airways director Mike Street as a non-executive, as revealed by M&C Report in February. And, as we reported earlier this year, Lord Rockley, a former chairman of Kleinwort Benson, the investment bank, is to step down after nine years in the role. Mark Woodhouse will step into the role of chairman and Anthony Woodhouse will become the sole managing director. Mark Woodhouse said: "Lord Rockley has guided the company through a period of great change and we are very grateful for his wise counsel and leadership. "Tim Clarke and Mike Street bring to the board a vast amount of experience and knowledge of our industry and hospitality in general. "They join the company in a challenging economic environment, but also a time of great opportunity. We established in 2009 a robust strategy for the next five years with major initiatives now underway across all parts of our business. "This next phase of our company’s development has got off to a good start with ongoing profits for the year ended January 2010 up by 19% and borrowings down by 11%."
