The Sportsman, the Michelin-starred gastropub in Seasalter, is offering accommodation for the first time, with new purpose-built log cabins.

The Shepherd Neame pub, winner of Morning Advertiser and Restaurant magazine awards, is offering the accommodation as a bed-and-breakfast service.

Each cabin has a lounge and dining room, kitchen, bathroom and a bedroom featuring a king size bed.

The Sportsman has been run by brothers Stephen and Phil Harris since 1999.

Phil Harris said: “We have received a lot of enquiries over the years from customers who wanted to stay over, but the pub didn’t have any accommodation facilities, although it had a large plot of surrounding land.

“A few years ago we started thinking about ways of utilising that land to create external accommodation, and with support from Shepherd Neame we were able to build these cabins.”
