Stonegate, the managed operator, is to open its biggest Slug and Lettuce to date on Friday at London’s O2 Arena.

An investment of £650,000 has been made as part of the project, which will see the O2 Slug moved to a bigger room at the 02 with a capacity of 700.

The venue is located over two floors and with a bar on both and contains 10-seater party booths.

General manager Richard Hammond said: “When the opportunity arose to take this space at the O2 we knew it was just what we were looking for. We hate to turn customers away but during event nights we simply didn’t have enough space to fit everyone it. Now with a capacity for 700 and being able to serve food right through until midnight we couldn’t be happier.

“We’ve pushed out all the stops to make it the best and most spectacular Slug and Lettuce launch to date and I’m sure our customers won’t be disappointed!”

“We’ll be opening with a great new cocktail menu, the Hollywood Classics which offer some timeless and classic cocktails such as the Black Russian, the Pina Colada and the Pink Lady Fizz.”
