Stonegate Pub Company has spent £500,000 on a revamp of its Latin bar Salsa! on London’s Charing Cross Road. The cafe has been painted green and gold to resemble the Brazil flag, and has new furniture and decor. It will also offer a new menu with some of South America’s favourite dishes such as coxinha, risoles and enrolada – traditional Brazilian snacks, burritos and tortilla shells. The lower ground floor restaurant and club has seen a new colour scheme of yellow, purple, orange and red. Salsa! has also introduced new furniture and added a new VIP area, with booth seating, which can be hired out for private parties. A new bar area has also been created. The restaurant also offers a range of South American Tapas dishes along with an a la carte menu with dishes such as calamres a la andaluza, pescado blanco frito and tortilla espanola starting from £3.50. Manager at Salsa! James Anderson said: “Salsa! is all about theatre and vibrancy, spirit and passion. In addition to the fantastic refurbishment, we’ve also invested in the sound, lighting and air conditioning system. “There’s always been such a great atmosphere in Salsa and now we’ve got the great look to go with it. We’ve got such a diverse range of customers who come to Salsa! whether it’s someone looking to learn a few moves or those who love to impress on the dance floor.”
