SSP UK, the travel concessions operator, is gearing up to launch the fourth site under its Beer House concept at London Victoria.

The company is set to convert the Iron Duke pub on the station’s concourse to the format, which it first launched at the end of 2011 at Charing Cross Station.

It has since opened further sites in London Waterloo and Paddington stations.

The Charing Cross bar offers 50 specialised craft bottled beers and 12 draught ales from around the world. All dishes also have beer with food matching recommendations.

The average spend is £10-£12 for a main meal and a drink, or three dishes for £10 on a small plate menu.

This brand was developed to capitalise on the growing trend in the market of consumers looking for “something interesting and different as the craft beer movement continues to gain momentum”.
