A speakeasy-style bar is due to open in the market town of Altrincham, Greater Manchester, this week called Riddles.

Entrepreneurs Del Lowe and Emma Rostaing are opening the 1920s prohibition themed cocktail bar as part of the regeneration of the market area in the town.

The bar, on the site of the former Tempest Bar, claims it will bring “Vintage style speakeasy with specialist cocktails and a charming atmosphere” to the town.

The venue will serve handmade coffee during the day and offer free wi-fi to encourage people to use the space to work, before being transformed into a late night cocktail venue in the evening serving traditional cocktails.
