Six Sunderland pubs and bars run by four local operators, two of which have fallen into administration, have been placed on the market. Fleurets has been appointed to market the sites, which are a combination of freeholds and leaseholds. Hoffman Inns and associated company Bar Operations, which were both placed in administration with PriceWaterhouseCoopers earlier this summer, operated four of the venues: - Paddy Whacks. The city centre circuit bar, which operates across two floors, is being offered freehold. - Pullman Lodge Hotel, Seaburn. The beach-front site includes a function rooms for 280, 16 bedrooms, a fish and chips restaurant with 150 covers and a takeaway service. A 125-year lease from 1989 is being offered at a peppercorn rent. Offers for the site are invited. - The Eastender. The pub, located in the old Sunderland area of the city, includes a large, open plan bar and a snooker room with two tables. A 125-year lease from 1989 is being offered at a peppercorn rent. A further two sites are run by Sunderland-based Wylam Leisure and Wylam Developments and have been put on the market by the operators and their bank HSBC. They are: - Glass Spider. A 960-capacity high street circuit bar, which has a 4.30am licence, is being offered freehold. Offers invited. - Ttonic. A city centre circuit bar operating on two levels. The site is offered on a part freehold basis, with the external area owned freehold and the venue held on a 25-year free-of-tie lease at a rent of £80,000 per year. Offers invited.
