London bar operator Simmons is preparing to open its third venue this year after securing a site in Soho on Bateman Street.

The bar is due to open on 5 November offering an extension to its signature happy hour with deals available Sunday – Friday between 3-8pm.

M&C understands the Nick Campbell led group also has a site lined up on Leonard Street in Shoreditch which is due to open this year subject to a licensing application.

The newest addition brings Simmons’ estate to seven bars, with six under the Simmons brand across London as well as The Chelsea Pensioner pub on Fulham Road.

The privately-funded group opened its first venue in Kings Cross in 2009 and has since opened in Camden, Fitzrovia, and earlier this year at Tower Hill and Angel.

The group previously told M&C it will continue to open bars at a steady rate and is looking for sites that have licenses that have an option to be extended until late.
