Pub and bar owners in Shepherd's Bush, West London are joining forces to challenge a police ruling closing premises near to the Loftus Road football ground on dates when Fulham FC are playing their home games at the ground, the club's temporary home while their own is developed.

The ruling comes after a similar case in February in Nottingham where police insisted on the closure of licensed premises around the city when Millwall were due to play.

Local operators challenged the decision but were not able overturn it. However, the court allowed that the reopening hour could be bought back to 4pm from the original 6pm.
