The Rosendale in West Dulwich, London, has been named as the best gastropub at Time Out magazine’s 25th Eating and Drinking Awards.

It came out ahead of the Narrow, Gordon Ramsay’s first pub venture, and other nominees the Brown Dog, The Roebuck and the Waterfront.

The Rake in Borough Market picked up the best bar award, holding off the challenge of Mocoto, Artesian at the Langham Hotel, Montgomery Place, and the Big Chill House.

National Dining Rooms was named best British restaurant, ahead of Empress of India, Geales, Great Queen Street and Magdalen.

Wild Honey in Mayfair, which is owned by Anthony Demetre and Will Smith, the team behind Arbutus, received the award for best new restaurant, ahead of Barrafina, St Alban, Odette’s and Oliviomare.

The Trinity, which is owned by chef Adam Byatt, won best local restaurant.

Kiasu held off the challenge of The Diner, Ooze, Sufi and Mother Mash to win the best cheap eats award, while Fernandez & Wells won best coffee bar.
