Revolution Bars has secured a site in Nottingham for its Revoluciòn de Cuba brand, M&C understands.

The group has submitted a planning application for the former Long Island Diner site at 26-28 Market Street.

The application says it plans a “full conversion of the basement, ground and first floor.”

The Mark McQuater-led group recently secured its third site in Leeds where it plans to open a Revoluciòn de Cuba. It will open under the Cuban-themed brand in Milton Keynes in September.

Earlier this month the company, which floated on the stock market in February, reported like-for-like sales up 3% for the year to 30 June.
