Punch has opened the first two pubs in its Signature Pubs managed estate, with plans for a further six across the UK, MCA can reveal.

The Hobs Meadow in Solihull, opened its doors last week and joins the Abbey in Sheffield in the Signature estate.

Both are fully managed operations – falling under the remit of Falcon division director, Andy Crump – and will also serve as training centres for other Punch pubs.

Punch’s first managed house the Blacksmiths Arms in Branston, Burton will not form part of the Signature Pubs estate, a spokesman told MCA.

He said: “We are delighted to have opened the second Punch Signature Pub, the Hobs Meadow, following the opening of the Abbey, Sheffield in August.

“Our Punch Signature Pubs are fully trading, operational managed pubs delivering great hospitality and experiences to customers which also double as training centres for our employees and Publicans who want to work with us in the future.”
