Punch Taverns, the tenanted and leased pub company, says it has invested £1.1m in its pubs in Sheffield in the past year.
Some of the pubs that have received investments include, The Sportsman, The Three Tuns, Rose & Crown and Victoria.
Champs (formerly the Yew Tree), reopened on 15 February after a £500,000 investment.
“This is my fourth Punch Pub and the received some great support in the launch of Champs. Everyone loves the new look, the makeover has been well-received and customers love the new sports theme. We have introduced a sports menu and the food has really taken off,” said new licensee Danny Grayson.
“Since we opened, the regulars have returned and we are seeing a lot of new faces as well as families. Customers have told me that it is what the area needed – a family-friendly place to go for live sports.”
