Punch Taverns has announced that its executive chairman Stephen Billingham has joined the board of construction firm Balfour Beatty, as the pubco prepares for the arrival of its new chief executive.
Billingham will step back to become non-executive chairman by 15 June – the deadline for Duncan Garrood to take up his post as chief executive.
Billingham spent 11 years at Balfour Beatty’s predecessor BICC plc. He is also chairman of Anglian Water Group Ltd and a non-executive director of Urenco Ltd.
Garrood is currently president of food at international franchise operator MH Alshaya.
