Vegan fast food operator Biff’s has partnered with pub operator Punch, in a deal that will see its jackfruit burgers and wings included on menus across the group’s nationwide portfolio.

Earlier this year MCA reported that Biff’s Jack Shack founder Biff Burrows was working on a branded range of Biff’s products to supply to the on-trade and retail sectors.

It secured a six-figure investment to expand the Biff’s Kitchen side of the business, with the fundraise led by Andrew Allen, co-founder of the Snaffling Pig Snack company, who joined Biff’s as a commercial director and partner.

The partnership with Punch marks the full debut for Biff’s foodservice business. The products will be rolled out to menu at Punch’s Champs, Our Local and Our Local Plus portfolio this month, in major cities and towns, including Manchester, Leeds and Bristol.

The investment has enabled Biff’s Kitchen to focus on its branded product offering, while the business continues to grow as one of the UK’s leading vegan operators under its Biff’s Jack Shack brand.

Commenting on the partnership, Allen said: “When we sat down and decided to set about bringing our food to the foodservice market, the on-trade felt a natural fit for our indulgent style. As such, having the opportunity to launch with such a respected operator like Punch is incredibly exciting.”

Head of food at Punch, Tracey Bell added: “With the rise in demand for vegan menu options, we’ve been committed at Punch to find the best suppliers and partners in the space. Biff’s provides our customers with a great product from a brand with an exciting, deeply credible story.”
