The Cask Marque quality standard organisation has launched its new marketing campaign that will let drinkers "try before you buy" in 45 Thames Valley pubs.

It will also offer a "no quibble guarantee".

The pubs will offer a 1/3rd-pint sample glass of their cask ale range and replace any pints if the customers is not completely satisfied.

It is hoped that the campaign will be rolled out nationally after the eight-week test. The campaign will be launched at the Fox and Hounds in Theale, near Reading, Berkshire.
