Burning Night Group, the Yorkshire-based bar operator, is set to open a new flagship site under its Potting Shed concept at the Trinity Leeds scheme, MCA understands.
The group, which is led by Allan Harper, is understood to be taking a unit spread across the fifth and sixth floors of the scheme for an opening later this year.
As a leasehold unit the new site will not come under the joint venture the group launched last year with Downing Finance to operate and acquire units for the Potting Shed concept, which so far operates two sites in Yorkshire, with a further two already secured.
Potting Shed Trading, is the company founded by the Burning Night management team and funded by the Downing EIS Pub fund.
Earlier this year, the venture acquired the former HSBC bank in Guiseley.
It will add to Potting Shed’s portfolio of contemporary gastro-pubs, with a signature garden theme and menu of wood-fired pizzas, homemade classics, cocktails and craft ales.
Bingley in West Yorkshire was chosen as the location for the first Potting Shed in April 2015, and the company opened a further pub in Beverley, East Yorkshire, in August last year with a third due to open soon in Northallerton, North Yorkshire.
Ormsborough is the parent company of Potting Shed Trading.
Earlier this year, the Burning Night Group raised more than £4m in a peer to peer lending campaign.
The group, which also owns the unique Bierkeller, Shooters and Around the World three-venues-in-one concept, launched a CrowdstackerPeer to Peer loan (P2P)-based fundraiser towards the end of 2016.
