A new partnership between the Hospitality Guild and the National Apprenticeship Service means that nearly 1,500 live apprenticeship vacancies are now up for the taking on the umbrella organisation’s careers portal.

The work is part of the Hospitality Guild’s Act NOW! on Apprenticeships campaign, targeted at improving the knowledge, understanding and ultimately the uptake of apprenticeships in the hospitality sector.

The partnership means that hospitality apprenticeship jobs advertised on Apprenticeships vacancies will automatically appear on the Hospitality Guild’s web portal.

Martine Pullen, head of pre-employment and apprenticeships at the Hospitality Guild, said that the partnership highlights the potential of the careers portal for young people entering the sector.

She said: “There has been so much talk about students understanding that apprenticeships can bring some fantastic opportunities, but we need to have the vacancies to meet this demand.

“The work with the National Apprenticeship Service helps in this respect and is a great step to position the Hospitality Guild’s portal as the one-stop-shop for vacancies in our sector, whether apprenticeships or not.

“I really hope this will bring us closer to making apprenticeships a first choice for many talented individuals who want to build a strong career in the sector, and for employers who are looking for people with the right attitude and with a passion to work in the industry.”
