Ossett Brewery, the Yorkshire brewer and pub operator, has opened open its third Hop concept pub in Sheffield’s West One complex.

The 400-capacity real ale bar has been converted from a former Budgens supermarket in the plaza of West One in Fitzwilliam Street, near West Street.

Ossett Brewery already operates Hops in Leeds and Wakefield in addition to its other pubs.

The company currently operates 15 pubs in the region in total

The Hop concept was created late 2008 as an amalgamation between Jamie Lawson director of Ossett Brewery, Mike Heaton drummer from Yorkshire Indie band Embrace and ex-Virgin Japan MD Mike Inman.

The first Hop opened in Wakefield in 2009, with second launched last year in Leeds.

The Hop concept promises “a traditional real ale house with an intimate atmosphere for live music and contemporary oh-so-cool décor”.
