The New World Trading Company has announced that acquisition manager Theo Fordham will now take the lead on new opportunities.

Fordham will continue to work alongside Tim McCormac, property director for NWTC, as the group seeks to open six new sites per year.

The 17th NWTC site opened in Reading this month with four more to come by the end of the year, including The Canal House in Birmingham and The Botanist in Media City, Manchester.

McCormac said: “Theo has a fantastic skill of finding great sites but more importantly cities and towns where each pub becomes part of the community. He is already travelling across the country researching sites. Theo will now be the first point of contact for all potential acquisitions.”

The company yesterday celebrated the one-year anniversary of its £50m acquisition by Graphite Capital.
