Novus Leisure is eyeing further expansion of its wine and restaurant chain Balls Brothers.

The Toby Smith-led company has instructed Colliers International’s leisure agency team to seek further sites across the capital for the chain.

Balls Brothers currently has nine bars and restaurants in and around the Square Mile and is looking to expand, with a particular interest in the West End. Other ideal locations include Covent Garden, Oxford Circus, Waterloo and Piccadilly.

Colliers said it will be searching for units ranging from 4,500sq ft for the 157 year-old chain, located close to office developments and ideally with outside space.

Smith, chief executive of Novus Leisure, said: “After completing a number of refurbishments from within our existing estate we are excited about the opportunity to add new properties to our portfolio in both the City of London and the West End.”

Ross Kirton, head of Colliers International’s leisure agency team, said: “As well as being an excellent choice for food and drink, like London, Balls Brothers is constantly changing and evolving. The success of the company’s new immersive masterclasses, which educate and inform guests on new gin, whiskey and wine emporiums, have propelled the business even further, so it is now seeking to expand its footprint.”
