Nostalgia Inns, the Midlands-based operator of country pubs, is undertaking a partnership with oven maker AGA to offer customers the “next generation carveries” from early next year.

Speaking at the MA300 event in London, company owner Adam Giles said the new partnership would “add theatre” to the pub environment at Ye Olde Punch Bowl Inn in Bridgnorth, Shropshire.

The pub is undergoing a refit in January which will see a new state-of-the-art AGA cooking range installed at the venue ahead of the carvery concept launch in February. Giles said Nostalgia Inns will become an official ‘AGA Ambassador’ - one of a handful in the UK - meaning it benefits from additional support from the brand.

“The chefs will cook the carvery live in front of customers front-of-house,” said Giles. “The concept is unique and the Punch Bowl will be the first ever venue to launch such a scheme.”
Giles estimated the new concept could bring an extra £50,000 sales increase over the year. The company has sold 150,000 carveries this year.

Nostalgia Inns operates Ye Olde Punch Bowl Inn and The Plough Inn, near Bewdley, Worcestershire.
