Noble Inns, the five-strong gastro pub operator, has appointed its first head of people, MCA uinderstands.

Joad Hall has previously worked at the Gordon Ramsay Group and was head of new people at Hawksmoor for six years.

Noble Inns operates two sites under its Smokehouse brand as well as a spin-off, Little Smoke. It also runs two standalone pubs – the Pig & Butcher and The Princess of Shoreditch.

Last year co-founder Scott Hunter told MCA the group was set for a period of consolidation following the departure of its managing director, Simon Holroyd.
