Mitchells & Butlers’ (M&B) Nicholson’s brand is to host its annual fortnight-long Autumn Beer Festival at the end of October. The event will showcase a range of dark beers, including 13 ales, and three specialist “improvised” beers.

The ales created for the event by the head brewers of Purity, Brains and Adnam’s will be available alongside beers from Red Squirrel’s London Porter, Itchen Valley’s Dark Solstice and Wild Beer Co.’s Scarlet Fever.

The trio of “improvised brews” are created by drawing at random from pots, divided into Style, ABV Range and Hop Region. Three beers are currently being created by the respective breweries, with the finished products to be unveiled at the beginning of the festival.

The most popular brew will be voted for online with the winning creation to be available for the rest of the winter.

All brews will be available as pints or in a tasting stick of 1/3 pint glasses.

The range of festival beers will be available on rotation in all Nicholson’s pubs in the UK between 31st October and 16th November.
