NewRiver, the UK REIT which owns 360 pubs, has announced its inclusion in the FTSE 250 for the first time.

The company joins the FTSE All-Share indices following its move from AIM to the main market in August 2016. Inclusion in the indices will be effective from 19 December 2016.

Chief executive David Lockhart said: “I’m pleased to announce that we will join the FTSE 250 and FTSE All Share indices later this month having successfully fulfilled the admission criteria. This follows our progressive move from AIM to the Main Market in August 2016 and marks another significant milestone for the Company and our shareholders just seven years after NewRiver was founded. We believe that index inclusion will provide improved liquidity through access to a wider investor base, supporting our focused strategy of delivering secure and sustainable cash based returns to shareholders.”
