Shepherd Neame has hinted at a publicity binge "if" England wins its two forthcoming crucial World Cup qualifying matches.
Mudlark, in the Financial Times, asks whether the Kent-based family brewer has tempered its patriotic instincts after it drew flak from its previous "Bottle of Britain" campaign for Spitfire which was accused of being
anti-German.
The column says Shepherd Neame is taking a less pacific stance on the corporate governance battlefield noting that Robert Neame, father of chief executive Jonathan Neame, is now stepping down as chairman but will remain as a non-executive director at least until June 2006.
