Chelsea bar & restaurant Nam Long Le Shaker has launched a separate basement cocktail bar.

The Opium Den is described as offering “the intimate feeling of a subterranean house party”.

Nam Long will introduce a new cocktail menu to celebrate the new opening, with additions such as Mr Thai, created in honour of Nam Long’s founder and made from of rye whiskey, truffle honey, and grapefruit bitters, served short with ice and Jade, a citrus concoction of vodka/gin, cucumber, elderflower and lime, and Bardot, combined with gin, a dash of cherry heering, and rose water.

Remaining on the menu will be the Flaming Ferrari, which is set alight and drunk quickly through a straw.
