Market Town Taverns, the Heron & Brearley-owned, Yorkshire-based pub and bar operator, has started the roll out of its new PubCraft format, after the success of its launch earlier this year.

The 15-strong group has converted its Arcadia site in Leeds and its Brigantes pub in York to the format which “highlights the group’s key strengths of local beer, local produce and good service”.

It launched PubCraft earlier this year at the Coopers in Guiseley.

Simon Midgley, managing director,  said: “PubCraft is not reinventing the wheel but further highlights what we do best, which is the very best in real ale, continental beers, food and staff. We are happing with how the first site is going and have a further refurb and a rebranding lined up over the coming months.

“When I took over from Ian Fozzard at the end of 2012, it felt like a natural point for the company to evaluate where it was and what it could achieve going forward. PubCraft was borne out of that.”
