Mosaic Pub & Dining, the former City Pub EIS Fund, has secured a new site in London and a second in Canterbury, MCA has learnt.
Finance director James Watson told MCA the group had taken on the lease of the Putney Station pub, opposite East Putney tube, from Urban Leisure.
Watson said the former Brinkley’s restaurant site would be a “big development project”
The group has also secured the former La Trappiste restaurant site in Canterbury’s Sun Street, close to the cathedral, which is currently being refurbished. It will re-open as a pub with a bakery element. The group also operates Chapter sourdough pizzeria and bar in the city.
On the new site, Watson said: “The word theatre is over-used but having a bakery does give us a point of difference. This will very much be a pub but we’re conscious that a lot of people will want Costa offerings.
“The best description is probably Garrison Junior - good food but accessible.”
Next month the group will open its 13th pub – the Running Horse at the Goodmans Field development in Aldgate.
