Norfolk micro-brewer Mauldons has bought its second pub, writes Paul Charity. New licensees of the Cottage on Silver Road will be Clive and Sally Mann, who have been running Mauldons’ only other pub, The Brewery Tap in Sudbury, for the past year. They plan to offer food at lunchtime including hot salt beef and gammon baps, pork pies and home-made Scotch eggs, and customers will be welcome to bring in their own take-aways in the evening. There will be between four and six Mauldons beers on sale at any time, including flagship session beer Moletrap, plus guest ales from other brewers.
