Cumbrian restaurant group M&M Bowness has acquired the lease of a restaurant in Windemere to convert to a gastro pub.
The restaurant, called Sutherlands, will undergo refurbishment and renovation to be re-opened as a gastro, free-of-tie pub in spring 2016
The group, headed up by Colin Monk, operates The Howbeck Retreat hotel and Caffe Riva in Bowness-on-Windermere.
Santander supported the acquisition with a £150,000 finance package toward the c£300,000 total investment.
