The St Stephen’s Club in Queen Anne’s Gate, London’s 20th oldest private members’ club, has been placed on the market, with a guide a price of £5.5m. The Grade II listed property, which is currently owned by James Wilson and Myra Jauncey, is arranged over five floors totalling 18,993 sq ft. The private members club comprises three large reception rooms over the raised and lower ground floors totalling 5,575 sq ft, while the upper three floors are in office use. The property also includes a 1,200 sq ft terraced garden. The freehold interest of the whole property is offered for sale, including the club together with the upper floors, which are held on a lease until 2109. Alex Sturgess, associate at Knight Frank Hotels, which has brought the property to market, said: “St Stephen’s Club is almost unique amongst the ‘Gentlemen’s Clubs’ of London as it is a proprietary rather a mutual business. “The Club is offered as an established and successful business opportunity and may remain in use as a private members club.
