The former operations director of Late Knights Brewery has formed a new company to take on the group’s remaining pubs.

As revealed by MCA in August the south east-based group stopped brewing after co-founder Graham Lawrence left the business and took back control of the brewery in Penge as well as the three pubs he owns the freehold of – the Brighton and London Beer Dispensary and Ravensgate Arms in Ramsgate.

Now Ben Hopkinson has taken on the remaining pubs, which are all under the Beer Rebellion banner, in Sydenham, Peckham and Gipsy Hill.

He has also set up Beer Rebellion Ltd, of which he is managing director.

Late Knights co-founder Steve Keegan told MCA that he was planning to open a new brewery in Sussex in the new year. He said that while owned the rights to the Late Knights, he was unlikely to revive it.
