Laine Pub Company has added an operations manager into its London business as it gears up to add 20 pubs to its estate under its joint venture with Enterprise Inns, MCA understands.

Chief executive Gavin George told MCA the company was currently eyeing a number of potential Enterprise pubs for the first Mash Inns site but none had been finalised. He said the company would prefer to focus on its London and Brighton heartlands but were open to the opportunities presented by Enterprise.

He said Evan Eksteen, formerly of Urban Pubs and Bars had been brought in to head up operations for the London business.

On further operational changes to cope with the expanding estate, George said: “We intend to integrate Mash sites into the Laine’s operational infrastructure. Appointments will be made as and when the infrastructure requires it in the normal course of business.”
