Laine Pub Company has incorporated a ‘repair café’ concept into its latest opening.

The Gavin George-led group has re-opened the Honor Oak pub in Forest Hill, which was acquired from Camden Dining Group at the end of last year.

The site will include a “living wall” as well as a performance and private hire space upstairs. Events will include a weekly “fix-up” night hosted by The Restart Project – a social enterprise that encourages and empowers people to repair their electronics in order to reduce waste.

The opening takes Laine’s London estate to 12 pubs.

This week the company ported like-for-like sales in the first half of its current financial year up almost 10%.
