Laine Pub Company has launched a new pub pop-up format which will see it partner with craft breweries.

The BeerKat model will be launched next month at the former 12 Bar in London’s Holloway Road with a month-long tap takeover by Beavertown Brewery.

The company is already in talks with other breweries and microbreweries to roll the format out.

The BeerKat will offer three trading floors, allowing Beavertown to showcase 18 beers. There will also be pop-up street food operators and entertainment from DJs, musicians, artists and entertainers.

Sam Millard, Beavertown’s events manager, said “One of the things we believe in most, is communicating our passion for what we do, directly to our drinkers. That’s why events are important to us. So when Laine’s approached us to take up a month’s residency at The Beerkat, we jumped at the chance. All the characters and personalities involved in making Beavertown beer will be there to meet our customers face-to-face and talk about what we all love.”

Liane’s operations director Dan Hills said: “Live music is an important part of the BeerKat’s entertainment offer. The Holloway Road site was once an excellent gig venue and we wanted to again see bands playing in the fabulous tiered gallery.”

The ‘We Are Beavertown’ opening party takes place on Thursday 26 May.

The BeerKat will be open every week from Thursday through to Sunday and entry is free.
