Kuckoo, the rock and roll cocktail bar concept, has opened its third site, in Sheffield, and has secured a fourth, in Knutsford.

The company was founded in 2010 and currently operates in Preston and Chester.

The new 220 sq m premises opened last night in Leopold Square, off West Street.

Founder and owner of Kuckoo, Richard Powell, said: “We’ve taken an already great concept and introduced this to Sheffield, and we were delighted to showcase the new interior to visitors during our reopening night – which was a superb evening!

“I took a lead role in the new design of the premises – it is my ultimate passion to ensure the interior resembles our core brand values of having fun and letting loose in a comfortable yet glamorous environment.

“We utilised the skills of local tradesmen yet were open to new design ideas and invested in imported materials from Europe as well as across the UK. We wanted to provide that feel-good, go-to place for more people, and opening in Sheffield means we are able to do that.

“The hospitality sector has faced tough times of late, and our brand has continued to grow thanks to the hard work of the team and because we’ve stayed true to our brand values. We have more plans for 2017, with Kuckoo in Knutsford set to open in summer this year.”
