JW Lees, the Manchester brewer and pub operator, is to open its second Duttons cafe bar in Manchester’s Albert Square in mid-June as it looks to grow its pipeline.
Managing director William Lees-Jones told M&C Report: “We’ve got offers in for four different units at the moment. We’ve got quite an active pipeline but we’re always interested in more.”
He added: “Ten sites next year is what we are aiming for. We anticipate paying between half a million pounds and £1m [for each].”
Lees-Jones said a key question is whether the company looks to add more pub restaurants or target pubs with letting accommodation.
The first Duttons operates in Chester. It offers all-day trading, with coffee and breakfasts in the morning and is licensed until 1am.
