JD Wetherspoon has reportedly made approaches about what would be its fourth pub deal in Ireland.

According to the Irish Times, the company has held talks to buy the Slaughtered Lamb in Swords, north Dublin, which the newspaper reports could be worth up to €2m.

The Irish Times said a deal has not yet been agreed for the pub.

Last month Wetherspoons confirned that it had secured its first pub in the Republic, the Tonic Bar in Temple Road, Blackrock. The company said it planned to open between 10 and 20 in the country over the next five to 10 years.
