Hop Stuff Brewery has secured a fourth taproom, the former Localist site on 38-42 St John St, Clerkenwell, as the company looks to expand following a successful crowdfunding campaign.

According to managing director James Yeomans, the site is due to open by mid-April. “This is our biggest site to date, and we forecast £2-3m a year in new group revenue,” he said.

Last month, Hop Stuff revealed it was looking for sites in the south west of England as it continued its aggressive expansion.

The brewery, which currently has sites in the south east, recently announced plans to open another six taprooms by the end of 2019, with three on the cards for 2018, as the business looks to capitalise on the popularity of the concept.

Yeomans told MCA he was in talks to acquire some of the 12 Jamie’s Italian sites earmarked for closure.
