Managed pub and bar operator TCG has opened a new Henry’s Café Bar in Bromley, taking the bar and informal dining brand up to six sites. Henry’s Bromley opens on the site of the former Ivory Lounge in the town and includes an expanded Henry’s menu Nigel Wright, TCG chief operating officer, said: “Henry’s Cafe Bar is a strong established brand which will add huge value to our level of trade in Bromley. We’re confident that the café bar will quickly become a favourite ‘hang-out’ and informal dining destination for the town’s residents, many of whom will be familiar with the other high-profile Henry’s sites in central London and Canary Wharf.” Henry’s Café Bar was launched in the late 1980s. Wright said, “Henry’s continuing success is down to its combination of consistently excellent, ever-evolving food and drink menus, with first-rate and friendly customer service. The food and drink offer is more classic than ‘of the moment’, which gives it major appeal to a broad customer base.” Other Henry’s Café Bars are based in Cardiff, Leeds and, in London, Piccadilly, Covent Garden and West India Quay – the latter having converted from Bar 38 to the Henry’s brand last autumn. All five existing Henry’s perform extremely well in their local market, with Covent Garden featuring consistently among TCG’s top-earning sites, the group said.
