Mitchells & Butlers has acquired land in Milton Gate retail park in Abingdon, South Oxfordshire to build a new Harvester restaurant that is due to open mid-2015 as part of its expansion plans.
The 6,000sq ft pub restaurant will join Costa coffee at the retail development.
Rob Wickenden, acquisitions manager, Mitchells & Butlers said the company is expanding its restaurant and pub brands via property acquisition and development programme focusing on freehold and leasehold sites in prominent, accessible areas with high footfall and/or traffic flows.
MEPC who owns the land said it welcomes Harvester’s family offering to the site.
