Gusto UK, the Newcastle-based bar and coffee shop operator, plans to open a second craft beer bar after the launch of its first in the city, M&C Report has learnt.
Datbar opened last week next to the family-run group’s 9Bar Coffee site on Market Street. It features 20 draught keg lines and a menu focused on pizzas, burgers and steaks.
Aldo De Giorgi, director of the family-run business, told M&C Report that the company hopes to secure a second site for a craft beer concept soon.
Asked if he planned to open a string of craft beer bars, De Giorgi said: “Certainly this and another place that will work symbiotically. There will be a different portfolio of products but it will be quality, value and a really great hospitality experience.”
