The Great Heck Brewing Company has acquired its first pub – a freehold site in Wakefield, Yorkshire from Scottish & Newcastle Pub Company. The brewer, founded by Denzil Vallance and Jason Hall, acquired O’Donoghue’s for an undisclosed sum, off an asking price of £175,000. The company intends to change the pub's name back to its original of The Bull, and is also planning a refurbishment. Christie & Co handled the sale.
