Grand Union, the London-based bar group backed by Luke Johnson, is making the most of its outdoor spaces this summer with an entertainment area called Pleasure Island opening at Grand Union, Wandsworth.

The Pleasure Island, inspired by the US West Coast, will open from 14 May as an addition to Grand Union’s Pleasure Garden in Brixton and Pleasure Terrace in Kennington.

Grand Union has transformed the outside space with beach huts, building on the popularity its treehouses and fairy-light rooftop at its other venues.

Pleasure Island in Wandsworth will include swing seating, a palm thatched 50ft cocktail bar wrapped around ‘Bertie’ the oak tree and 11 bookable beach huts.
