Greene King is trialing a rebrand of its Eating Inn estate, called Goodwin’s Bar & Kitchen, MCA understands.
Two sites, in Fenay Bridge, Huddersfield and Oadsby, Leicestershire have already opened and a third is due to open in Chorley at the end of April.
The all-day, family-friendly offer focuses on “honest cooking, classic dishes and good wine”.
The menu is divided into dishes from the grill - including a focus on chargrilled chicken; a ‘from the sea’ section and an ‘our favourites’ selection of pub classics. There is also a separate breakfast menu.
There are currently 15 Eating Inn sites in England and 11 in Scotland.
Greene King, which inherited a number of formats when it acquired Spirit Pub Company in 2015, is in the process of converting non-core concepts to its five growth brands - Greene King; Chef & Brewer; Farmhouse Inns; Flaming Grill; and Hungry Horse.
