Greene King is to restructure its senior management team this week, with new responsibilities for three key figures, MCA has learnt.

John Forrest, who is currently chief operating officer for the Retail division is to instead take on responsibility for the Pub Partners tenanted and leased arm of the business.

Richard Lewis will now head up the Retail division, as well as retaining his role as chief property officer.

Clive Chesser, who took on responsibility for Brewing & Brands alongside Pub Partners earlier this year will now focus solely on the former

Greene King confirmed to MCA that the changes, which have been announced internally, will come into effect this week.

Forrest has been in his current role since joining Greene King in November 2015. He was previously chief operating officer of Premier Inn for Whitbread.

Lewis has been with the pubco and brewer since 2011 and moved into the property brief after overseeing the integration of the Spirit estate last year.

Chesser joined Greene King in 2009 after working for Ei Group – then Enterprise Inns – and Compass Group.

Greene King announced in August that Richard Smothers, ex-CFO of Mothercare, would replace chief financial officer Kirk Davis, at the end of January 2018
