Thirteen pubs that were previously run by Sarumdale, the Sussex-based pub company that was placed in administration last month, have been put on the market with Fleurets. The package consists of 12 freeholds and one leasehold, with five located in Greater London and the remainder in Kent, Sussex and Hampshire. Fleurets said: “The properties all trade as traditional inns and will be sold as fully operational businesses.” Begbies Traynor was appointed as Sarumdale’s administrator on 13 June. Company directors Rodney Hall and Mike Lloyd blamed the interest payment obligations on their hedged loans, which totalled £350,000 a year for three years, for the firm’s demise.
