Simon Midgley, the former managing director of Market Town Taverns and commercial director at Ossett Brewery, will launch his own venture next month.
Midgley has taken on the former Jakes Café in Harrogate’s Oxford Street to launch Starling Independent Beer & Coffee House.
The concept will be based around craft beer, artisan coffee and pizzas and the venue will be open from breakfast.
Midgley left Market Town Taverns on October 2015 after 12 years with the group to join Ossett.
He set up Starling’s parent company Murmuration Ltd at the end of last year.
